Taking on Opioid Addiction – Together
Opioid addiction is a problem that takes a community – people and organizations working together – to solve.
OpioidAssist.com is here to assure that you’re not alone in taking on heroin, other opiates and their devastating effects on a broad cross section of Southwest Ohio. Here, we connect you with area health care providers and community partners who offer hope: addiction treatment programs, support groups, 24-hour crisis lines and solutions to reduce the opioid threat in Dayton and surrounding communities.
Opioid addiction has hit Southwest Ohio hard. In the first half of 2017, Montgomery County’s hospital emergency departments saw more than 2,500 overdose patients – more than any other Ohio county. And in 2015, Ohio led the nation in overdose deaths, according to The Columbus Dispatch, with deaths in the last two years outpacing 2015.
By bringing together resources from across the region, OpioidAssist.com aims to show how you can get help or get involved in your community to prevent prescriptions from becoming addictions.
